OCR, which stands for Optical Character Recognition, is a method that converts text found within an image into a format readable by computers.
Adding More OCR Languages
- Open Windows' "Language settings" window (use the search function to locate it).Win key).
- Under the "Preferred languages" section, select the "Add a language" button.
- Choose the desired language for installation, then click "Next."
- Uncheck all "Optional language features" as they are not necessary for OCR.
- Verify that "Optical character recognition" appears under "Required language features"; if not, the language does not offer this feature. Proceed by clicking "Install."
- Allow Windows to finish the language installation in the background.
- After installation is complete, the new language will be visible in the language drop-down menu when the ShareX OCR window is opened again.
